ugee (hereinafter referred to as "ugee," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to all products and services provided by ugee, including the ugee website (www.ugee.com), the ugee Ufun application ("Ufun APP"), and any related services (collectively, the "Services").

The ugee Ufun application is developed by Shenzhen Hanvon Ugee Technology Co., Ltd. All copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights related to the Ufun APP—including but not limited to text expressions and combinations, icons, graphics, decorations, charts, colors, interface designs, layout frameworks, relevant data, printed materials, or electronic documents—are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and international treaties.

This policy explains how we collect, store, use, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using our Services.

BY USING THE SERVICES, YOU CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION, USE, AND TRANSFER OF YOUR INFORMATION AS DESCRIBED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY PART OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SERVICES.

A. What Information Do We Collect?

1. Information You Provide Directly

We may collect information you provide directly to us through the website, the Ufun APP, via email, or through direct communication, including but not limited to:

Account Registration Information

When you use our products or services, you can log in directly via email, or provide us with your username and password. You may also choose to add an email address to your account to register and log in via iPad or APP. If you register through social media platforms such as Facebook or Google, we may collect your account name and profile photo from those platforms.

Profile Information

Nickname, gender, date of birth, and location, if you choose to provide them.

Payment Information

When you place an order through the Services, your payment information is encrypted and transmitted directly to our third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card information and are not responsible for the third party's collection or use of your payment information. Please refer to the relevant third party's privacy policy for more details.

Transaction Information

Details of orders, product configurations, types and specifications of goods, pricing and delivery information, dispute records, and any information disclosed in discussion forums.

Customer Service and Survey Information

If you contact our customer care team, we may record your conversation and collect additional information to verify your identity. The survey questionnaires you fill out during online events may contain your email address and other details.

If you submit information relating to people other than yourself, you represent that you have the authority to provide such information and consent to its use in accordance with this Policy.

2. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website or use the Ufun APP, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

Device and Browser Information

IP address, browser type and version, operating system and platform, device MAC address, software installation list, time zone setting, and hardware attributes.

Usage and Log Information

Pages viewed, number of sessions, unique visitors, browsing patterns, buyer behavioral patterns, access date and time, detailed APP usage records, product service usage records, and network status. This information is collected to improve and optimize product experience through data statistics and to ensure service stability and network security.

Network Information

Wi-Fi network details (including BSSID and SSID) to enable automatic reconnection to previously configured networks.

Location Information

Device location data collected in the Ufun APP to locate nearby devices (e.g., 3D printers) for connection, file uploads, and printing control.

Sensor Information

Data from the gravity sensor and similar sensors to enable features such as portrait and landscape mode switching.

3. System Permissions (Ufun APP)

To enable you to use the Ufun APP's products and services properly, we may request the following device permissions:

a. Album and Storage Permissions

When you agree to enable this permission, we will use the album reading and storage functions on your device to upload images, text, and videos, and to cache models and images generated during app use. We do not automatically read the stored content of your local album; we only obtain image data after you agree to enable this permission and actively select the corresponding image. If you refuse this authorization, the aforementioned functions will not work properly.

b. Camera Permissions

When you agree to enable this permission, we will use the camera function on your device to take photos and to collect and recognize captured images. If you refuse this authorization, the aforementioned functions will not be available.

c. Clipboard Access

We invoke the Cordova com.verso.cordova function to obtain clipboard data in order to identify the currently viewed course or object and redirect to related pages.

d. Bluetooth Permissions

Used to connect ugee products and services wirelessly. You need to enable the device's Bluetooth permission to connect to ugee hardware products.

4. Information from Third-Party SDKs

We integrate the following third-party SDKs that may collect certain personal information:

We store your information until we no longer need it to provide the Services, or until you delete your account, whichever comes first. We will only retain your personal information for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.

7. Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent to our collection, use, and/or disclosure of your personal information by submitting a request to service@ugee.com or by deleting your account. Please note that withdrawing consent may affect the functionality of your account, products, and/or services, including potential loss of access.

8. Data Processing Location

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALL ASSOCIATED SERVICES AND SYSTEMS MAY BE HOUSED ON SERVERS IN THE UNITED STATES AND/OR CHINA. IF YOU ARE LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THESE COUNTRIES, INFORMATION WE COLLECT (INCLUDING COOKIES) MAY BE PROCESSED AND STORED IN THESE COUNTRIES, WHICH MAY NOT OFFER THE SAME LEVEL OF PRIVACY PROTECTION AS THE COUNTRY WHERE YOU RESIDE OR ARE A CITIZEN. BY USING THE SERVICES AND PROVIDING INFORMATION TO US, YOU CONSENT TO THE TRANSFER TO AND PROCESSING OF THE INFORMATION IN THESE COUNTRIES.

In principle, personal information we collect and generate within the territory of the People's Republic of China will be stored within the PRC.

 

B. What Do We Use Your Information For?

We do not sell or trade your personally identifiable information. We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

1. Providing and Fulfilling Services

  • To configure pre-orders, fulfill orders, and contact you as necessary.

  • To register and maintain your account, verify your identity, and enable you to use our products and services.

  • To enable proper functioning of the Ufun APP, including connectivity features and personalized settings.

2. Communication and Promotional Materials

  • To send you promotional materials, including information regarding ugee contests, events, and/or products, conveyed via email or other channels.

  • If you subscribe to our communications, we will comply with the "Double Opt-In" principle. If you no longer wish to receive these materials, you may opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails or by contacting us at service@ugee.com.

  • Where required by applicable law, we will seek your consent prior to sending marketing communications.

3. Improving Our Products and Services

  • To evaluate, maintain, and improve the performance of our products and services through data statistics and analysis.

  • To iterate and develop new products and services through statistical analysis. Such analysis results will not contain personally identifiable information.

  • To optimize the user experience and ensure service stability and network security.

  • When a software system malfunctions, we record and analyze the information generated during the malfunction to optimize related platform services.

  • When ugee invites users to participate in a "User Experience Improvement Program," ugee will statistically analyze the usage of various product or service functions to improve quality and launch innovative products or services. If you do not wish to participate in this program, you can choose to disable the relevant functions in the relevant product or service settings.

4. Personalization and Marketing

To identify, personalize, develop, and market products and services we believe you will value, including across browsers and devices, in accordance with applicable laws.

5. Security and Legal Compliance

  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, illegal activities, or violations of our Terms of Use.

  • To comply with applicable laws and exercise, establish, or defend our legal rights.

We will seek your consent before using the information for any purpose not specified in this policy.

 

C. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

1. Cookies

Cookies are small data files stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or use an app. They typically contain an identifier, a site name, and some numbers and characters, and enable websites and apps to store data such as your preferences or shopping cart items.

We use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain on your device until deleted) to:

  • Make your experience on the Site more personal and interactive.

  • Remember your settings such as language, font size, and other browser preferences.

  • Collect web traffic data, including sites visited before browsing our Site, pages viewed, number of times accessed, and time spent on the Site.

2. Web Beacons and Pixel Tags

In addition to cookies, we use web beacons and pixel tags on our websites and apps. For example, emails we send you may contain click-through URLs linking to content on our website to help us track email engagement.

3. Bluetooth

When you use ugee products or services through the Ufun APP, you may need to enable Bluetooth permissions on your device to connect to ugee hardware products. Bluetooth technology is an open global specification for wireless data and voice communication, enabling short-range wireless connectivity between your device and ugee products.

4. Social Media Features and Single Sign-On

Social Media Features

Our websites include social media features such as the Facebook "Like" button and share widgets. These features may collect your IP address and the page you are visiting on our Site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing them.

Single Sign-On

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may be able to log in to our website or the Ufun APP using sign-on services such as Facebook Connect, Google, or other Open ID providers. These services will authenticate your identity and may provide us with certain personal information (such as your name and email address) to pre-populate our sign-up form.

By using our website or the Ufun APP, you consent to the use of cookies, social media features, and single sign-on as described above.

 

D. Disclosure and Sharing of Personal Information

1. With Our Partners and Service Providers

We may share your information with selected partners and service providers to conduct business and provide services to you, including but not limited to:

  • Marketing platforms such as Google, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, and analytics providers relating to users' behavior, to tailor the content you see when visiting our Site.

  • Payment service providers to assist with payment for transactions.

  • Logistics partners for providing delivery, return, and exchange services.

  • Cloud computing service providers for cloud storage services.

  • Email newsletter providers and other marketing service providers.

These service providers must abide by our data privacy and security requirements and are only permitted to use your personal information for the purposes specified above, not for their own purposes.

2. With Affiliated Companies

Your personal information may be shared with our affiliated companies, including our Suzhou factory and Nanjing Additive Manufacturing Institute. We will only share necessary personal information, subject to the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. If an affiliate needs to change the purpose of processing personal information, it will seek your authorization and consent again.

For all companies, organizations, and individuals with whom we share personal information, we will sign strict confidentiality agreements, requiring them to process personal information in accordance with our instructions, this Privacy Policy, and any other relevant confidentiality and security measures.

3. Transfer of Personal Information

We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual, except in the following cases:

  • With your explicit consent: After obtaining your explicit consent, we will transfer your personal information to other parties.

  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy liquidation involving the transfer of personal information, we will require the new company or organization to continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy; otherwise, we will require them to seek your authorization and consent again.

4. For Legal and Compliance Purposes

We may disclose your personal information to professional advisers, law enforcement agencies, insurers, government and regulatory organizations, or other parties when we believe it is necessary to:

This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites or co-branded sites. You should read the relevant privacy policy for those sites before responding to any offers or services advertised by those parties.

 

E. How We Protect Your Personal Information

We have implemented various physical, electronic, contractual, and managerial security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss. These include:

  • SSL encryption for data exchanged between your browser and the Services.

  • Encryption technology to ensure data confidentiality.

  • Trusted protection mechanisms to prevent malicious attacks.

  • Access control mechanisms to ensure only authorized personnel can access personal information.

  • Regular security and privacy protection training for employees.

We will take all reasonable and feasible measures to ensure that no irrelevant personal information is collected and to retain your personal information only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy.

No data transmission over the internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information you transmit to us.

In the event of a personal information security incident, we will promptly inform you in accordance with legal requirements, including:

  • The basic situation and potential impact of the security incident.

  • The measures we have taken or will take.

  • Suggestions for your self-protection and risk mitigation.

  • Remedial measures available to you.

We will notify you via email, letter, telephone, or push notification. If individual notification is not feasible, we will issue a public announcement. We will also proactively report the handling of personal information security incidents to regulatory authorities as required.

 

F. Your Rights Regarding Personal Information

1. Access and Review

You have the right to access your personal information. You can review and manage your account profile information by:

  • Logging in to your account and visiting your Account settings page (website).

  • Visiting the APP's main page (Ufun APP).

For other personal information generated during your use of our products or services, please send an email to service@ugee.com.

2. Correction

You have the right to request correction of any errors in your personal information. You can submit a correction request at any time by:

  • Logging in to your account and visiting your Account settings page.

  • Sending an email to service@ugee.com.

We will respond to your correction request within 15 days.

3. Deletion and Account Cancellation

Website: You can delete your account on your Account settings page. Deleting your account will remove the personally identifiable information associated with it.

Ufun APP: You can delete your account by clicking on your profile picture ("Avatar"), then clicking "Cancel Account," and finally clicking "Confirm." After deletion:

  • All previously uploaded personal model works and other content under that account will be deleted.

  • You will no longer be able to log in to the application with this account.

  • Your personal information will no longer be available on the app and will be deleted from the server.

You may also submit a deletion request to service@ugee.com.

In the following circumstances, you may also request us to delete your personal information:

  1. Our processing of personal information violates laws or regulations.

  2. We collect or use your personal information without your consent.

  3. Our processing of personal information violates the agreement with you.

  4. You no longer use our products or services, or you delete your account.

  5. We no longer provide products or services to you.

If we decide to respond to your deletion request, we will also notify entities that have obtained your personal information from us and request them to delete it promptly, unless otherwise provided by laws or regulations or such entities have obtained independent authorization from you. When you delete information from our services, we may not immediately delete the corresponding information from backup systems, but we will delete such information when backups are updated.

4. Unsubscribe from Communications

If you wish to unsubscribe from marketing communications:

  • Follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

  • Log in to your account and visit your Account settings page.

  • Contact us at service@ugee.com.

Please note that even if you opt out of receiving marketing communications, we may still communicate with you regarding an established business relationship.

5. Adjusting Cookie Settings

Most browsers accept cookies until you change your browser settings. If you do not wish for the Site to collect your information using cookies, you can typically disable or restrict cookies by changing your browser settings. However, if you remove or reject our cookies, it could affect how the Site works for you.

6. Changing the Scope of Your Authorization

Each business function requires some basic personal information to complete. For the collection and use of additional personal information, you can grant or withdraw your authorization at any time by sending an email to service@ugee.com. After you withdraw your consent, we will no longer process the corresponding personal information. However, your decision to withdraw consent will not affect the processing of personal information carried out based on your prior authorization.

7. Obtaining a Copy of Your Personal Information

You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal information. You can request your information by sending an email to service@ugee.com.

8. Restricting Automated Decision-Making

In some business functions, we may make decisions solely based on non-manual automated decision-making mechanisms, including information systems and algorithms. If these decisions significantly affect your legal rights and interests, you have the right to request an explanation from us, and we will provide appropriate remedies.

9. Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent to our collection, use, and/or disclosure of your personal information at any time by submitting a request to service@ugee.com. Please note that:

  • Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing conducted prior to your withdrawal.

  • Withdrawal of consent may affect the functionality of your account, products, and/or services, including potential loss of access.

10. Responding to Your Requests

For security purposes, you may need to submit a written request or otherwise prove your identity. We may first ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. We will respond within 15 days. For reasonable requests, we will not charge a fee. We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require excessive technical effort, create risks to the legal rights of others, or are highly impractical.

In the following circumstances, as required by laws and regulations, we will not be able to respond to your request:

  1. Directly related to national security or national defense.

  2. Directly related to public safety, public health, or major public interests.

  3. Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, or execution of judgments.

  4. There is sufficient evidence of subjective malice or abuse of rights.

  5. Responding to your request would cause serious harm to your or other individuals'/organizations' legal rights.

  6. Involving trade secrets.

11. Additional Rights for European Union Residents

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), please refer to Section L. Visitors from the European Union for your additional data protection rights.

12. Additional Rights for California Residents

If you are a California resident, please refer to Section K. California Privacy Rights for your additional rights.

 

G. Children's Privacy

Our Services may also be used by students and younger audiences. We do not knowingly collect or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 16 (or under the age of 14 for users in the People's Republic of China) without verifiable parental or guardian consent.

To respect the privacy of children and to comply with applicable child privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and relevant PRC regulations, children should only use the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

For the collection of children's personal information with parental consent, we will only use or publicly disclose such information as permitted by law, with the explicit consent of the parent or guardian, or as necessary to protect the child.

We consider it the responsibility of parents to monitor their children's use of our products and services. It is our policy not to require personal information from minors or to send any promotional materials to persons in that category.

Should a parent or guardian have reason to believe that a minor has provided ugee with personal information without their prior consent, please contact us at service@ugee.com to ensure that the personal information is removed and the minor is unsubscribed from any applicable ugee services.

If we discover that we have collected a child's personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete the relevant data as soon as possible.

 

H. International Transfers of Personal Information

Our business may require us to transfer your personal information to countries outside of your home country, including but not limited to the United States and China, which may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.

In principle, personal information we collect and generate within the territory of the People's Republic of China will be stored within the PRC. Where cross-border transfer is necessary, we will ensure that your personal information receives a level of protection equivalent to that within the PRC, for example by seeking your consent for cross-border transfer or by implementing security measures such as data de-identification before cross-border transfer.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA): We take appropriate steps to ensure that recipients of your personal information are bound to duties of confidentiality, and we implement appropriate measures to ensure your personal information remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable EEA data protection law, including through the use of standard contractual clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms where required.

For all users: By using the Services and providing information to us, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer to and processing of your information in these countries.

We will sign strict confidentiality agreements with companies, organizations, and individuals with whom we share personal information, requiring them to process personal information in accordance with our instructions, this Privacy Policy, and any other relevant confidentiality and security measures.

 

I. Security Measures

For registered users of the Site and the Ufun APP, some of your information can be viewed and edited through your account, which is protected by a password. We recommend the following best practices to protect your account:

  • Do not share your password with anyone. Our personnel will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or email.

  • Use a complex password to help ensure the security of your account.

  • If you share a computer or device with others, do not save your log-in information (e.g., user ID and password) on that shared device.

  • Always sign out of your account and close your browser window when you have finished your session.

  • Do not send personal information through unencrypted channels such as standard email or instant messaging applications.

No data transmission over the internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. As a result, while we try to protect the information we hold for you, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.

 

J. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We keep our Privacy Policy under regular review and may update it from time to time to reflect changes to our information practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons.

Both the new version and the old version will be made available on the Site and within the Ufun APP, with an updated date displayed. We will archive old versions of this policy for your review.

We will notify you of material changes by email (sent to the email address specified in your account) or by posting the changes on all ugee websites and within the Ufun APP. For major changes, we will provide a more prominent notice.

Major changes referred to in this policy include but are not limited to:

  1. Significant changes to our service model, such as the purpose of processing personal information, the types of personal information processed, and how personal information is used.

  2. Significant changes to our ownership structure or organizational structure, such as owner changes due to business adjustments, bankruptcy, or mergers and acquisitions.

  3. Major changes to the main recipients of personal information sharing, transfer, or public disclosure.

  4. Significant changes to your rights relating to participation in the processing of personal information and how you exercise them.

  5. Changes to the department responsible for personal information security, contact methods, and complaint channels.

  6. When a personal information security impact assessment report indicates high risk.

Such changes shall apply from the effective date as set out in the notice or on the website. Your continued use of our products and services following the posting of changes will be taken as your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

We will seek your fresh consent before we collect more personal information from you or when we wish to use or disclose your personal information for new purposes.

 

K. California Privacy Rights

Do Not Track ("DNT")

Unless legally required, we do not commit to honoring "Do Not Track" signals in your browser, because honoring it would prevent much of the tracking and disclosures described in this Privacy Policy.

You may have the right to request, twice in a 12-month period, that we disclose to you the personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and sold about you during the past 12 months.

You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personally identifiable information; however, you may exercise this right at any time by contacting us.

4. Shine the Light Request

You also may have the right to request that we provide you with:

  • A list of certain categories of personal information we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year; and

  • The identity of those third parties.

L. Visitors from the European Union

Legal Basis for Data Processing

We process personal data for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Our legal basis to process personal data will depend on the personal data concerned and the specific context in which we collect it. We will normally collect and process personal data about you where:

Data Retention

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal data, we will either delete or anonymize it. If deletion is not immediately possible (for example, because your personal data has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal data and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

N. Protection of Minors

We attach great importance to the protection of minors' personal information and continuously explore better ways to safeguard it.

If you are the legal guardian of a minor, please ensure that the minor under your guardianship uses our services or provides their personal information only after obtaining your authorization and consent. If you have any questions about the personal information of the minor under your guardianship, please contact us through the methods listed in Section M.

If you are a child under the age of 14, we have also published a Children's Privacy Policy specifically addressing the protection of children's personal information. Children and their guardians should carefully read the Children's Privacy Policy before using the Ufun APP.
