How to fix a clogged nozzle?

If little or no filament comes out during loading or printing, the nozzle may be clogged. Use the following methods to clear it.

Manual Filament Push

This is the simplest clearing method.

1. Unload the current filament following the steps in Section 3.1.4 Changing Filament.

2. Gently pinch and remove the extruder cover.

3. With one hand, press the gray ring on the metal connector; with the other hand, pull out the Bowden tube.

4. Confirm your phone is connected to the printer. Go to the device page, tap "Settings", then tap "Preheat" to enter the preheat page.

5. Set the target temperature to 240°C or above and tap "Heat Up".

6. Prepare a length of filament. Wait for the nozzle to reach the target temperature, then insert the filament through the tube opening.

7. Push the filament all the way through to the print head and push firmly.

8. Watch the nozzle — if filament flows out smoothly, the clog has been cleared.

Clearing with the Cleaning Needle

Use the cleaning needle for more severe clogs that cannot be resolved with the manual push method.

Go to the device page, tap "unload" to unload.

5. Confirm your phone is connected, go to the device page, tap "Settings", then tap "Preheat" to enter the preheat page.

6. Set the target temperature to 240°C or above and tap "Heat Up".

7. Wait for the nozzle to reach the target temperature, then insert the included cleaning needle upward into the nozzle opening and move it back and forth.

8. Go to the device page, tap "Load Filament" to reload. If filament flows out smoothly, the nozzle has been cleared.

Cold Pull Method

If the above methods cannot clear the clog, use the cold pull method for a deep clean.

8. Tap "Cool Down" and wait for the temperature to drop to 85–90°C, then slowly pull the filament out. Do not pull too hard to avoid breaking the filament inside the print head.

9. Push the filament in manually again. If filament flows out smoothly from the nozzle, the clog has been cleared.
