Floods destroyed scholastic materials in Butaleja

floods.jpgAbout four schools of Doho, Namalere, Lubembe and Bugombe primary schools where closed because there essential materials like classrooms and toilets had been flooded with water and most of the roads hae become impassable so pupils cannot attend to classes

UNICEF and Save the Children are in discussions with the district officials to help pupils who have become homeless can be temporarily relocated and be taken to other schools of  Namumasa and Masulula primary schools to continue there education .

Many  latrines have been washed away, floods have made mud and some houses collapsed and crops destroyed. Wanje, the deputy head of the district disaste said that famine and diseases such as cholera and malaria would break out.
