The Uganda Supreme Court will begin hearing arguments in a case that is set to determine whether the death penalty should be imposed on murder convicts.

Inflation in Uganda has steadily been rising and is currently running at 12.4% compared to 11.2 in the previous month of May. This is mainly due to higher fuel and food costs. Post election unrest in Kenya has also been blamed.
