Harare - Robert Mugabe's regime Wednesday branded G8 leaders' threat of more sanctions "international racism" and a bid to force out the Zimbabwe president following his widely condemned one-man election, which was marred with rigging and violence and intimidation.

London - Britain has called on South African President Thabo Mbeki to back international efforts to isolate key figures in Zimbabwe, including his counterpart Robert Mugabe.

Addis Ababa - The international community are asked to deploy UN peacekeepers in Somalia without delay or risk worsening insecurity in the Horn of Africa, the country's prime minister warned on Monday during a visit to Ethiopia.

Pretoria - British Foreign Secretary David Miliband on Monday said Robert Mugabe had "turned the weapons of the state on his own people" and urged the world to support fresh sanctions against his regime.

The URA has sacked all its 60 tax investigators in order to form a new Department under a supposed restructuring exercise by the Authority.  The sacked employees have been given an option to re apply under the new Dept and, but the jobs are also available to other URA 1800 employees of the URA.
