KENYA Data Networks (KDN) and its Ugandan subsidiary, Infocom, have launched an estimated 1,500km fibre optic cable linking Kampala, Nairobi and Mombasa. The laying of the sh1.5b fibre cable from Mombasa to Kampala brings closer the fast internet that Uganda and indeed the region has yearned for.
