Obama's gran under round the clock guard
barak_obama_5.jpgNairobi - Kenyan police have set up a 24-hour guard outside the home of US presidential candidate Barack Obama's grandmother after thieves targeted her home, reports said on Friday. Obama's grandmother Sarah, 86, said burglars broke in through her kitchen door in the western Kenyan village of Kogelo and attempted to steal a solar panel from her roof.
 
Two Ugandan Peace keepers killed in Mogadishu

Powerful minister loses job
south_sudan_map_1.gifKhartoum - Pagan Amum, a powerful south Sudanese politician has lost his Cabinet position in a reshuffle on Sunday, state media has reported. Pagan, who is Secretary General of south Sudan's dominant Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), was "relieved of his post" as Minister of the Council of Ministers in Sudan's national coalition government, the state Suna news agency said.
 
DRC Rebel leader orders Troop withdraw.
