Evansville, Indiana - Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton face their latest day of destiny on Tuesday as Democrats in Indiana and North Carolina gear up to vote in the party's electrifying presidential race.
Opinion polls pointed to another messy draw on the biggest single day of voting left in the epic battle for the Democratic nomination, with Obama tipped to win the North Carolina primary and Clinton ahead in Indiana.

Johannesburg - Zimbabwe's final election figures amounted to "grand theft", the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) said in Johannesburg on Friday night.
The initial figures had given the MDC an "outright win", claimed MDC secretary general Tendai Biti.

New York - Djibouti has called on the UN Security Council to intervene to prevent a border conflict with neighbouring Eritrea, according to a letter from its foreign minister seen here on Tuesday. "We call on the Council to deploy urgently all necessary measures toward preventing yet another conflict," Djiboutian Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said.

Harare - Zimbabwe's ruling party urged supporters on Tuesday to refrain from violence in the build-up to a presidential election run-off, accusing the West of trying to turn the country into a "theatre of war". "We are urging our members to avoid violence," Nathan Shamuyarira, the Zimbabwe African National Union - Patriotic Front (Zanu-PF)'s information and publicity secretary was quoted by the state-run Herald as saying.

Rabat - Saudi Arabia has decided to grant Morocco $500m to mitigate the effects of rising energy prices, Morocco's Foreign Ministry announced on Monday.
The Saudi decision was in response to a recent request from Morocco's King Mohammed VI to Saudi King Abdullah, said a statement.
