The NATIONAL DRUG AUTHORITY is drug regulatory body established by Uganda Government Statute No. 13 of 1993. The Authority consists of a Chairman and 19 members drawn from various disciplines and sectors with special relevance and interest in proper administration and management of drugs.

The role of NDA

NDA’s role is to ensure that only high quality, efficacious and cost effective medicine (both human and veterinary) are availed to the population of Uganda.
