Gendarme made women undress

Metz - A French gendarme who made women colleagues undress in his office so he could take their measurements got a three-year jail sentence on Wednesday for sexual assault and abusing his position. The court in the eastern city of Metz heard that Thierry Moegen pretended he was conducting a survey on "women in the police force" and asked young women to come to his office where he told them to undress and proceeded to measure their bodies. The 48-year-old father of three, who has been sacked from the gendarmerie, would then take photos of them in various poses including beding over, in the offences committed between 2000 and 2003. He got a three-year sentence, one of them suspended, for seven counts of sexual assault and two sexual offences against minors and a further attempted sexual assault. The court placed Moegen on a sex offender registry.
