Rwandans protest against arrest
Kigali - Hundreds of Rwandans protested on Monday against the arrest in Germany of a top official suspected by a French judge of playing a part in the death of the former president that triggered the 1994 genocide.

Some of the protestors in the streets of Kigali told an AFP reporter they were heading to the German embassy to demand the release of Rose Kabuye, President Paul Kagame's chief of protocol.

Germany's ambassador was summoned on Sunday after her arrest in Frankfurt sparked the ire of Rwanda, which accuses France and other European countries of seeking to prosecute the victims rather than the perpetrators of the genocide.

"There are several protests which will all converge on the German embassy," Information Minister Louise Kushikiwabo said..
