Kyabazinga of Busoga dies after long illness.

kyabazinga_muloki_2.jpgThe Kyabazinga (King) of Busoga Henry Wako Muloki has died after a long illness. He was sufferring from cancer of the oesophagus. He was 87. He passed away monday morning at Mulago Hospital.

Condolences have come from various people and diginatories, including President Yoweri Museveni, Kabaka Mutebi, Toro Queen-mother Best Kemigisa, and other cultural and political leaders.


Muloki took over the throne in 1995 after a bitter wrangle. In October 1995, the Government recognised him as the legitimate King of Busoga, following a legal opinion from the Attorney General.
