Nigerian High Commissioner calls for direct flights to Uganda

The new Nigerian High Commissioner, Chief Fidel Mama Ayogu has called for the establishment of direct flights between Uganda and Nigeria.
Mama Ayogu says this would help to stepping up the volume of trade between the 2 countries in particular and also between East and West African regions.
Mama Ayogu was speaking during the occasion on which he handed over his letters of credence to Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni.

During the separate ceremonies that took place at State House, Entebbe Mr. Museveni received the credentials of 8 other the new envoys of Mexico, Kuwait, Venezuela, Poland, Eritrea, Chile, Brazil and Turkey.

While receiving the letters of credence of the new Polish Ambassador Mrs. Anna Grupinska, President Museveni requested her to interest Polish investors to come to Uganda and do business in the food processing sector.

Mrs. Grupinska assured President Museveni that Poland will work to cement further its co-operative relations with Uganda especially in support of the economic growth of Uganda.

In her speech, the new Brazilian Ambassador Ms. Maria Ana Sampaio Fernandez assured President Museveni that her country is interested in forging a joint venture with the Government of Uganda in building a coffee factory in Uganda. She stressed her commitment to the realization of this venture for the mutual benefit of the 2 countries.
