dato_seri_abdullah_ahmad_badawi1.jpgTHE Malaysian prime minister, Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, has urged his fellow countrymen to trade with Uganda. He also asked Malaysians doing business in Uganda to be friendly to the local people, have integrity and work hard.

Badawi, accompanied by his wife, Jeannie Abdullah, was on Saturday commissioning Malaysia Furnishings, a furniture company in Industrial Area, Kampala. He commended the managing director, Sekaran Vellasamy and his team for working hard.

Badawi also urged the company to expand. Sekaran commended Ugandans on their hospitality.
He said he would partner with Odrek Rwabogo, a son-in-law to President Yoweri Museveni, to start a housing project. Sekaran added that the company would soon embark on rice farming.
